Meet Jane

I’ve been on a healing path for as long as I can remember. I began therapy when I was 19 to try and unravel the pain and confusion I was feeling about life. I grew up in a loving family, but one that was deeply impacted by the dysfunctions of unaddressed intergenerational trauma. It took years of self-exploration, formal counselling, trying different medications, and DIY-ing my mental health through self-help strategies, but I’m happy to finally find myself in a place of wellness. My healing would not have been possible without the grace of the wonderful friendships I’ve formed along the way and the brave and unwavering love and forgiveness of my two sons.

I was a diversity recruiter in banking for 14 years, and before that, I worked in the music industry as an assistant artist manager and publicist. In both roles, it was the connection with people that I thrived on, and that lead me to pursue a career in counselling.

I’ve lived in many places across Canada, and in Edinburgh and the highlands of majestic Scotland. I now reside in the beautiful lower mainland of British Columbia with my two sons and our rescue pup, Pizca. I’m blessed with a great family, many cherished friends, and the love of my best friend, Brad.

I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) Registration #2804.
