In Person and VIRTUAL Counselling in Port Coquitlam

Life's challenges can leave you feeling lost and alone.

It’s time to reclaim your life.

HI, I’M JANE

I grew up in a loving family, but one that was deeply impacted by the dysfunctions of unaddressed intergenerational trauma. It took years of self-exploration, formal counselling, trying different medications, and DIY-ing my mental health through self-help strategies, but I’m happy to finally find myself in a place of wellness.

Together, we will look at how your early life experiences and influences are impacting your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and behaviours now. From there, I use an integrative approach to help you work toward your goals, drawing from modalities such as mindfulness, person-centred therapy, narrative therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), and other trauma-informed modes of support.

Stop Suffering In Silence.

It’s Time To Reclaim Your Life.

COUNSELLING?

Do you feel overwhelmed – even physically – in the face of your daily tasks and stressors? You are not alone. So many of us grew up in survival mode, and we’re struggling to learn how to thrive in our adult lives.

Are you ready for something more?

Are you tired of suffering in silence?

Are you not sure where to start?

We offer counselling services that first and foremost recognize the deep impact of relational trauma (what’s often referred to as complex trauma or c-PTSD) and the lasting effects this can have on our lives. As this understanding grows you can begin to engage with life on your terms.

BEGIN THE JOURNEY TO EMBRACE YOUR TRUE SELF

Very often, the root of our distress comes from a dysregulated nervous system that was wired when we were young.

As a result, we may have defaulted to stories and beliefs about ourselves and our lives that are not serving us anymore.

Tired of relationships not working out?

Feeling like you just can't be happy?

Longing for something more?

Often we default to using unhelpful (but adaptive) approaches to life that don’t feel good.

Things such as...

✘ Avoiding conflict

✘ Explosive anger

✘ People-pleasing

✘ Self-medicating

You are not alone.

You may have a distorted sense of self (or others) as a result of various things you've faced in your lives.

These are all issues we can address in counselling.
